Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez (/s@'li:n@ 'goUmez/ s@-LEE-n@ GOH-mez; born July 22, 1992) is an American actress, performer and producer. Gomez began her acting career in 2002 in the popular children's television series Barney & Friends. At the age of a teenager Gomez was famous for her portrayal of Alex Russo in the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (1907-2012). Alongside her television career, Gomez appeared in the films Another Cinderella Story (2008), Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte Carlo (2011), Spring Breakers (2012), Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), and The Dead Don't Die (2019) as well as voiced Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania film franchise (2012-2022). Gomez has also been the executive producer on the Netflix television series 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) and Living Undocumented (2019) through her production company, July Moon Productions. Gomez is also the executive producer and stars in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + chef (2020-2022) and the Hulu comedy show Only Murders in the Building (21-21). Gomez has been praised for her work and was awarded nominations for a Golden Globe Award. She also received a Primetime Emmy Award for producer. Gomez was previously part of Selena Gomez & the Scene released three albums. Each album made the top ten on the US Billboard 200. The albums were all gold-certified and were awarded the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA). Stars Dance, her debut solo album, was a huge success in the U.S. Billboard 200, while its leading single, "Come & Get It" made it to the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100. Gomez has released Revival (2015) as her second studio album. It debuted at number one in America and was certified platinum. Three top-ten US tracks were made out of Revival: "Good for You", the "Same Old Love" single as well as "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020) The singer's third studio album, was her third consecutive top-ten album in the US. The single that was the lead single, "Lose You, to Love Me", was also her first top-ten hit in the US. Revelacion the Spanish-language EP came out in 2021. She received a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. She has been honored with numerous awards, including being named Woman of the Year by Billboard in 2017. In 2017, she also set fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential persons globally in 2020. Her social media followers are huge and she is the most popular actress and performer on Instagram. Gomez has also launched fragrance, makeup and handbag collections. She has been involved with a variety of charitable organizations , and was a UNICEF ambassador since the age of 17.
