Kathrin Romany Beckinsale, born 26 July 1973.[1][2][3The actress Kathrin Romany Beckinsale is an English actress. After some minor television parts, her film debut was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) as a student at the University of Oxford. Alongside numerous radio and stage productions, she appeared in British costume dramas like Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), and Shooting Fish (1997). Beckinsale was the first actress to make a film in the United States in late 1990s. After appearing in small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale played in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). After her roles in The Aviator (2004) & Click (2006) and Click (2006), she appeared as herself. All these films established her as a protagonist in Hollywood.Since playing the role of Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been a household name for her work in action films, such as Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012), and Total Recall (2012). In addition, she has appeared in lesser dramatic films such as Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008), and Everybody's Fine (2009). For the two first films she received positive reviews. She was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Actress In the Comedy Love & Friendship in 2016. Jolt (1921) brought her back to action-film. She also appeared in Jolt (2021), The Widow (1919) and Guilty Party (2021).
