In the new millennium, Selleck starred in a number of TV movies that included the Jesse Stone series, in which he played the role of a New England police chief. The role earned Selleck an Emmy nomination and he also served as the producer for the film. Selleck is a police officer who is part a multigenerational family. This role was also included in Blue Bloods that premiered on CBS in 2010. Selleck eventually made it to the big screen. Also, he was part of the highly-acclaimed comedy Three Men and a Baby with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg. The comedy was the most popular film.
