Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson is an American actor, singer, writer and producer. Her most well-known part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and performed in her own films Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. She has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who has a career as an artist. Benson was raised in the Reform Synagogue with her Reform Jewish mother as well as her Jewish father. In the years since Buffy came to an end, Benson has been in movies such as The Killing Jar and on shows such as Morganville The Series. When she was in front of the camera, she utilized her creative writing abilities in writing The Ghosts of Albion and direct projects like the 2010's Drones. After taking the time to discover and the Slayers, Buffy states that there are at least 1800 Slayers all over the world with 500 associated with members of the Scooby Gang.
